The Packaging Design Centre at Nolato has worked on a new extension to the Cerbo Solid container range. The Cerbo Solid W has a similar design to the Cerbo Solid range, however, this new pack has a maximised neck opening and an excellent fitting closure system for low MVTR reinforced by its extra wall thickness.
Glenn Svedberg, Head of Nolato Medical Pharma Packaging: “In response to further needs from our customers, we have been able to advance this standard range into something that will add value for both our customer and the end-user. With the optimised closure and thick wall container, it ensures extra security and superior tightness for solid dose pharmaceutical products it’s been designed for. As well as the increased neck opening that improves efficiency on filling lines.”
The Cerbo Solid W is available as a complete pack solution in sizes 50, 75, 100, 150, 250 and 400ml. The container is made out of HDPE with TE and CR caps made out of PP (desiccant options are available) and is ideal for moisture sensitive, solid dose products. This new brand extension has a wider 34mm neck finish compared to the original Cerbo Solid range, thus ensuring even higher-performance on filling lines.
The new Cerbo Solid W and Cerbo Solid standard range premiered at CPhI Worldwide 2015 in Madrid, as part of the comprehensive offering of plastic packaging solutions from Nolato Medical Pharma Packaging.

Cope Allman Jaycare has developed a process that allows a lay down of up to a 0.5mm thickness of UV cured ink directly onto the surface of a plastic container. In-house screen printing facilities were adapted to maintain an even and consistent print height. Although originally developed for printing Braille onto containers, the process also can be used in traditional screen printing, allowing clients the opportunity to highlight particular parts of their artwork (i.e. logos, etc.) by raising the print from the surface of the container.
Cope Allman Jaycare (CAJ) has recently developed a Child Resistant Dispensing Pack for a new anesthetic spray that is to be launched by a major US pharmaceutical firm. The packaging company has a history of designing Child Resistant Closure Systems and was approached specifically for the project, as no such product was commercially available.
